Olympics Progess

Today, I thought I'd show you far I've gotten on my Karen Shawl.

If you are thinking, "Gee, that looks an awful lot like the picture she put up last Monday", then you are absolutely right. I have knit and frogged and knit and frogged the last repeat of that very simple lace pattern more times than I'm willing to admit.

So, instead of finding myself in the position where I might be able to consider a second Olympics project, I'm going to be lucky to finish this one before the closing ceremonies on Sunday.

Dang.

I am totally with you. My Olympic project turned out to be a much slower go than I expected. So Shaun White, I'm not. But I'm still going to keep plugging away until I'm done. Although I get the feeling I'm going to end up like the crazy lady in the tin foil hat who is always the last one to finish the NYC Marathon.

Hang in there! If it makes you feel better, I've ripped my Olympic design a total of five times so far, including major surgery to remove the cast on edge and unweave back, then re pick up the stitches again.

This left me with about a million ends on what should have been a really straightforward design. Urgh.
